| Before you Buy.... Please read this before proceeding to the for sale page. All Ear's Rabbitry breeds American Fuzzy Lops. We strive to improve both type and temperament . That does not mean we have created a "perfect rabbit". I assure you if that ever happens, said rabbit will STAY here for my breeding program. Most of the rabbits we sell are either seniors we have replaced with better offspring or juniors we have decided to cull for a number of reasons (usually because there is something else in that litter we like better). We keep a limited number of holes and must, in turn, cull VERY hard. I keep most of the nice show quality jr's for myself at this point in time. My main goal is to improve my herd, so I need to keep my "nice" jr's. Occasionally, I do sell show quality animals. I am always upfront about what I like about the animal and what I dislike. I consider most of what I sell brood stock. This does not mean that they are not show quality, just that I would not personally show them usually due to the fact that I have better. I will not keep brood stock that isn't show quality nor will I sell an animal for brood if it cannot be put on the table (unless it has obtained an injury, which I will let you know about before hand). Brood means that the rabbit probably cannot compete against others in it's class so don't expect top 5 for a rabbit I sell to you ad brood for $20. My pricing usually depends on the rabbit, but ranges from $20 - $100+. Rarely do I charge more then $50 for a rabbit and I never charge more then what I would pay myself. If I am selling a rabbit that I have purchased, I usually charge what I paid UNLESS the rabbit has received multiple legs or has sired or raised a successful litter. Sometimes I sell a rabbit for less - usually because I feel the rabbit is no longer worth the price paid due to injury, in ability to produce for me, or age. I do sell all SR does with an option to be bred. This is done free of charge as a courtesy. I usually ask for POL and require that my prefix be used in addition to yours. In the case of a single kit litter, I will usually waive my POL but still ask that my prefix be used. If, for some reason, I want to obtain my POL you can bring your doe back and have her re-bred. This time, I will waive my POL but still would like my prefix added with yours on the pedigree. I rarely offer my herdsires for stud for fear of disease. If I know you (and like you =P) it can be arranged, usually for POL (and shared prefixes). If you do not want to give up rights to POL and do not want my prefix with yours, we can work out a fee. If you purchase/adopt a pet, there will be an upfront fee of $20/per rabbit. This is refundable when - and only when - you send me a signed document from a vet that I can contact to verify the alter took place. I also will take back any rabbit sold at any time, no refunds and you MUST bring the bunny to me. If I do not have an open quarantine cage, I ask that you donate yours. The cage can be returned once the rabbit has found a new home or I have open space. I am very strict with pet purchases due to problems in the past, so please contact me with further inquiries. My expectations of you are simple. I expect that you will provide a safe cage for your rabbit, weather you are purchasing a pet or a show/brood bunny. I expect you to supply the rabbit with fresh food and water on a daily basis, and to keep the rabbit clean and free of bugs. I expect you to groom your rabbit and trim their nails on a regular basis. If you do not feel you can agree to my expectations, please reconsider purchasing a rabbit and please do not contact me. Rabbits are a lower maintenance pet compared to cats and dogs, but they still require some attention. They are not meant to be tossed in a cage and forgotten in the back yard. Please do your research before contacting me, or any other breeder for that matter, to purchase a rabbit. Now, if you haven't been scared away, please continue to my for sale page. |
